Heritage Christian Academy girls’ basketball player Hope Flournoy signed to continue her basketball career and attend Welch College at a signing ceremony in the HCA gymnasium Thursday morning. In front of her family, friends, and classmates, Hope became the first Lady Warrior basketball player to sign with a college basketball program.
The Nashville, TN school was originally founded in 1942 as Free Will Baptist Bible College before a name change to Welch College in 2012. Hope talks about what led her to choose Welch College, and where she feels she needs to improve between now and when she takes the court for the Lady Flames.
