Henderson Coach Claims Parent Complaints Led to Dismissal

A 2nd Region softball program is in need of a new head coach. According to a report in the Henderson Gleaner, Henderson County Lady Colonels softball coach Jimmy Collins has been relieved of his duties after three seasons at the helm.

The report states that Collins claims he was dismissed due to complaints from parents of players in the program. Collins record during his time at Henderson County was only 33-60.

Prior to being the head coach at Henderson County, Collins was an assistant for three seasons. During the 2018 season, Henderson County went 9-16, losing to Madisonville in the first round of the 2nd Region tournament.
