The Trigg County girls’ soccer team fell behind 3-0 to the visiting Lady Storm of Hopkins County Central, but the senior-laden Lady Wildcats showed the toughness to battle back and secure a draw in a match-up between the number six and and seven ranked teams in the YourSportsEdge.com 2nd Region soccer rankings.
The Lady Wildcats began their comeback with a penalty kick from senior midfielder Alyssa Richardson, before goals from junior midfielders Madisen Ireland and Brittany Kelly pulled the Lady Wildcats level. Sophomore midfielder Emily Noffsinger and senior defender Tiffany Shafer each contributed an assist in Trigg’s comeback effort.
Trigg County now sits at 4-3-1 on the season and return to the field September 11th when 10th ranked Lyon County (2-6) visits the Recreation Complex.
