The Todd County Central girls’ soccer team saw a four-game win streak snapped with a 5-1 loss in its 13th District opener on Tuesday in Elkton. The Lady Rebels have dropped their last three meetings with the Lady Cougars dating back to a 2-0 Todd County win in the 2017 district-title game.
Madison Henderson found the back of the net for the Lady Rebels and they only trailed 2-1 going into the final 15 minutes. However, a third Lady Cougar goal opened the flood gates, with the 4-goal margin the Lady Rebels’ worst loss of the season.
Todd County Central will be looking to avoid the season sweep at Trigg County on Thursday. The Lady Wildcats prevailed 2-1 on a late goal two weeks ago in Elkton.
