Top 5 Finishes for Duncans Lead UHA at Fast Cats Classic

A pair of Top 5 finishes, one from Tomas Duncan, and the other from Tobias Duncan led the way for the runners from University Heights Academy at Saturday’s Fast Cats Classic, hosted by Daviess County High School.

Tomas Duncan, running in the “Red” division, came in with a time of 16:21.44, putting him in 4th place in the division. He also finished in 4th place in the combined boys scores from all of the division.

Hopkinsville’s Chase Atkins won the division, and the combined, with a time of 15:36.96. D.K. Schnieders, of Louisville Holy Cross, finished second at 16:03.16.

Tobias Duncan, running in the “White” division, finished with a time of 17:44.23, putting him in 5th place in the division, and in 36th place in the combined.

Peter Dalmares, of Walden, won the division with a time of 16:55.89. Justin Sparkman, of North Laurel, took second with a time of 17:18.33.

Other UHA runners in the “White” division were:

Nic Luckey – 19:43.58 – 27th place
Chase Hendricks – 19:49.54 – 30th place
Ray Farmer – 22:16.12 – 42nd place

The Blazers finished 13th in the combined boys’teams scores

In girls’ competition, UHA’s Rebecca Fitzpatrick, running in the “White” division, finished with a time of 27:01.07. That time placed her in 29th place in the division. Hallie Mattingly, of Henderson County, took 1st place with a time of 20:53.33.
