
The Hopkinsville Tigers posted a ten-run fourth inning to close the show in the opening round of the 8th-District tournament, pasting fourth-seeded Fort Campbell 15-0 on Monday at Christian County.
Zach Moss threw a four-inning no-hitter, walking two and striking out seven to pick up the win and send the Tigers into the district title game with Christian County.
Moss helped himself with a first-inning RBI single and the Tigers led 2-0 early. After a scoreless second, the Tigers got a run-scoring single by Logan Durst and Blake Balthrop tripled to bring in a run to stretch the lead to 5-2.
The Tigers poured it on in the fourth to close out the game, scoring ten runs on four RBI singles, four walks, an error, and a hit by pitch. Landon Snyder, Preston Chaudoin, Logan Durst, and Jacob Dilday each drove in a run in the inning.
Chaudoin was 3/3, Durst had two hits and four RBI, and Ryan Myers hit safely twice.
Aiden Blaszkowski allowed fourteen earned runs on the mound for the Falcons. He gave up thirteen hits and walked six and struck out one.
