For only the fourth time this season the Lyon County girls’ soccer team failed to find the back of the net, with a 7-0 loss at Muhlenberg County on Tuesday night closing out the Lady Lyons’ regular season slate.
A night after snapping a six-game losing streak with a 7-1 win over Mayfield, Lyon County falls to 7-12 overall. The Lady Mustangs win for the fourth time in six tries to move above .500 at 10-9-1 with a Thursday match at Webster County remaining on their schedule.
The Lady Lyons will be back on the field on Monday to begin defense of their 5th-District title, meeting Crittenden County in the semifinal at the Recreation Complex in Cadiz. Top-seeded Trigg County awaits the winner on Tuesday.
