Crittenden County completed their season sweep of district opponents and solidified their status as the top seed in the tournament with a straight set win over Trigg County Tuesday in Marion.
Slow starts have been a problem for Trigg County, who dropped their first set 25-9. It was the fifth time this season the Lady Wildcats failed to score 10 points in the first set.
Crittenden County (11-12, 4-0) took the second set 25-13 and the third set 25-18.
The loss was Trigg County’s third straight. They will host Murray Thursday as they look to avenge a three-set loss to the Lady Tigers on Aug. 22.
