What kind of shape is UK now in with Skyy Clark

It seemed like the next really high profile commitment that John Calipari was going to get was going to be Skyy Clark. Didn’t matter if stayed in the 2022 recruiting class or changed to the 2021 class? Either class, he seemed like Kentucky was the team to beat and that only intensified a few months ago when Clark and his family moved from California to Nashville for his junior/senior season.

Yet recently Rivals.com recruiting analyst Corey Evans has changed his prediction from Kentucky to North Carolina. Another Rivals analyst, Eric Bossi, is still picking UK but has indicated he would not be stunned if he went with North Carolina.

Another Rivals.com recruiting writer, David Sisk, loves the ability Clark is going to bring to whatever college team he picks.

He doesn’t think Kentucky is in “great” shape with Clark but remains in “good” shape in his recruitment.

“But so is North Carolina. (Coach) Roy Williams has seemingly almost taken over the lead recruiter spot in this one,” Sisk said.

“He is Zoom calling, calling and texting Skyy and his family a couple of times per week. He is also very good when he is dealing with families and not entourages. I think his involvement has really impressed Skyy.”
