The Bowling Green Purples soccer team has been significantly impacted during this strange 2020 season by the COVID-19 virus. Headed into Tuesday night’s matchup against Todd County Central, the Purples had seen three matches canceled or postponed, with another match against Daviess County that had been set for Thursday also cut from the schedule.

The Purples were finally able to get to the field Tuesday evening as the Rebels hosted Bowling Green for a 4th Region battle.

Todd Central’s offense struggled to get going, as the Purples were able to dictate play during the match. Bowling Green came away with the 5-0 win.

For the Purples, who are 3-2 on the year, every match has involved a shutout, whether it was a win or a loss.

Todd County Central, with the loss, falls to 3-6 on the year. The Rebels are set to be back in action Saturday evening, as they travel to Bowling Green to take on Greenwood.
