Relays Highlight Colonels’ Day at Johnson Memorial Classic

Three top-5 finishes in the relay events at the Coach Johnson Memorial Classic in Fort Campbell highlighted the Christian County boys’ track & field performance on Saturday.

Joseph Alexander was busy for the Colonels, taking 3rd place in the 100M and competing in three relay events.  Alexander teamed with Jaden Northington, Zamien Matlock, and Cameo Gordon to take 4th in the 4×100 with a time of 46.65.  Alexander, Gordon, Nothington, and Dahzmeon Brown finished 3rd in the 4×200 with a 1:34.94, and Alexander grabbed another 4th-place showing in the 4×400 along with Gordon, Northington, and Camden Britton with a time of 3:46.05.  Camden was also 8th in the 1600M and Northington took 11th in the 800M.

Xavien Henderson made his mark on the track and in the field, taking 7th in the 800M, to go with a 4th-place finish in the Triple Jump with a 35-05.00.  He was also 11th in the Long Jump.

JT Adams was 4th in the Shot Put with a throw of 37-03.00 and 6th in the Discus.  Scotty Blythe was 7th in the Shot and Anthony Beasley finished 12th in the Discus.

Brown was also 18th in the 100M, and 14th in the 200M, while Matlock was 21st in the 100M, 17th in the Long Jump, and 11th in the Triple Jump.  Cyrus Greenwade was 11th in the 400M and 16th in the 200M, Dasean Dunham was 19th in the 200M and 14th in the 800M, Conner Rinehart was 25th in the 400M, and Michael Webb finished 24th in the 800M.  Donta Abren finished 16th in the Triple Jump and 22nd in the Long Jump.
