After two previous opponents were unable to play Todd County Central on the gridiron Friday, the third time proved to be the charm for the Rebels.
Todd Central will travel to Russellville for a 7 pm contest with the Panthers at Rhea Stadium.
The Rebels began looking for a game Monday when their original opponent, Webster County, canceled due to entering COVID protocols. Todd already had lost its week two game with Fort Campbell due to the Falcons entering protocol and did not want to go three weeks between games.
Meade County announced early Wednesday they had scheduled the Rebels for a Friday game, but the plans fell through later in the afternoon.
Wednesday night, Russellville was able to move its Friday game with Logan County to October 15 and slot the Rebels into a Friday matchup.
The Panthers beat Todd County Central 33-0 but the teams were not scheduled to play as the new two-year schedule cycle began in 2021.
