Todd County Central tried extending their match several times, but Muhlenberg County had an answer for their rallies in a three-set win (25-20, 25-19, 25-17) over the Lady Rebels Tuesday. Todd Head Coach Bret Henderson said his team suffered through communications issues in their season opener.
“I’m not worried too much right now. We’re going to be pretty good as we go along,” he said.
Bailey Conquest had six kills, five assists, and two blocks, while Alli Kearns had five kills and one block. Henderson also praised the play of Kinley Reding, who had five digs and two kills, and sophomore Brylee Shemwell, who offered up eight assists.
Todd County’s JV team, who only won three matches all of last year, picked up a three-set win in the opener.
The Lady Rebels will play at Christian County Thursday.
