Three Christian County volleyball players have earned accolades from the American Volleyball Coaches Association for their work on the court.
Senior outside hitter Kathryn Buchanan and senior setter Alexis Poor were both named to the 2017 Under Armour Watch List.
McCracken County players Sarah Adams, Carsey Harned, and Cate Hyde were the only other western Kentucky players named to the list.
Athletes included on the Watch List will be considered for the Under Armour All-American Team in October.
Meanwhile, junior libero Elizabeth Gibbs was named to the AVCA Phenom List. Gibbs joins Logan County junior Karrah Cron as the only western Kentucky players on the list.
Athletes recognized on the Phenom List have been identified by the AVCA as elite rising high school volleyball student-athletes and have received some form of recognition for their outstanding play. They will be eligible to participate in the AVCA Phenom College Prep Program, an invitation only event.
