The Hopkinsville boys’ soccer team, ranked 12th in the latest KHSSCA state soccer poll, lost 3-1 to the 10th ranked McCracken County Mustangs (13-1) on Thursday night at the Stadium of Champions.  The Tigers fall to 8-3-1 on the season and are winless in their last 3 matches, although all 3 results have come against highly ranked teams.

The Tigers welcomed back senior forward Tyler Aldridge from injury, but found themselves down 2-0 at the half.  Senior forward Caleb Joiner pulled a goal back for the Tigers in the second half off an assist from senior midfielder Ethan Noel.  McCracken would also add a second half goal for the final 3-1 margin.

Hopkinsville will participate in the Colonel Showcase this weekend at the Stadium of Champions, facing Caldwell County (4-7-1) and Muhlenberg County (1-8-1).
