While she was surprised by the honor Tuesday, those who have followed volleyball in the 2nd Region this season are not surprised. The Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association announced that Caldwell County’s Carlie Peek had been selected as the 2017 “Player of the Year” in the 2nd Region. The soft-spoken, but hard-spiking senior was quite humble when asked about the award.
