Todd County Central is considered one of the favorites to win the Boys’ Fourth Region All-A Classic Tournament that begins Monday. The Rebels will host Cumberland County Monday afternoon at 2:30 in Elkton.
Todd County (9-7) advanced to last year’s championship game where they lost to Russellville. The Rebels last won an All-A region title in 2004 and have won three in program history.
They will face a Cumberland County team in the first round that is 4-13 and averaging just 53 points a game. The Panthers have lost 12 of their last 13 games after a 3-1 start.
The winner plays host Clinton County (12-7) in the semifinals Thursday at 7:30.
The other side of the bracket has Monroe County (12-5) playing Metcalfe County (3-12) Monday with the winner to play Russellville (6-9) in the semifinals Thursday.
The championship game is scheduled for Friday at 7:45.
