Former Christian County basketball player Jaylen Sebree has committed to play at Florida Atlantic University. Sebree made the announcement on his Twitter site Wednesday.
The 6-6, 180-pound forward was a finalist for Mr. Basketball after averaging 17 points and eight rebounds his senior season. Sebree originally committed to Coastal Carolina after his senior season at Christian County in 2017 but opted to reclassify into the Class of 2018 and attended the IMG Academy this past season.
Sebree had early scholarship offers from Xavier, Western Kentucky, and Indiana. He recently drew interest from Austin Peay and Morehead State.
Florida Atlantic plays in Conference USA and was 12-19 last year. Former Florida assistant coach Dusty May was named the new head coach of the Owls last month. He served as an assistant coach at Murray State in 2006-07 under Billy Kennedy.
Beyond blessed to announce that I have committed to play college basketball at Florida Atlantic University!
